April 5 was the day this great and loyal nation came together to tell the current administration in Washington to get their Hands Off Everything.

According to Microsoft Edge, three million citizens participated in the various events.
“Nationwide Hands Off demonstrations occurred in more than 1,400 locations across all 50 U.S. states, drawing an estimated 3 million participants according to the demonstration organizers.”
They came from all over Northern Nevada and California
Residents of the Tahoe-Reno region did not disappoint. In masse, they gathered downtown at the state capital in Carson City, Nevada. They wanted their voices heard.
Chirs, a resident of Reno, was in attendance displaying one of several powerful banners seen during the event. He shared some history regarding his sign and its message.

“What many Nevadans seem to forget is what Battle Born means, so we created this sign to remind them,” Chris said. “Nevada is Battle Born because it was adopted into the Union during the Civil War. During that conflict in 1864, as the war was raging, Abraham Lincoln was up for re-election. He needed to secure his victory so that the Union could continue its campaign to abolish slavery and free the slaves. Seeking statehood, Lincoln called on his Republican colleagues in Nevada to get the votes needed to win re-election and end the war.
“His colleagues answered the call,” he said. “Nevada sent the most expensive telegraph of its time ($3,416 or about $75,000 in 2025) from Carson City to Washington DC. The telegraph contained the entire Nevada state constitution. Adopted into statehood, Nevada became known as Battle Born! Lincoln got re-elected and kept his promise of ending the war and freeing the slaves. Nevadans should be proud their state answered the call to fight for equality for all Americans.”
Chris reminded us that today we are called to honor that legacy by actively defending the Constitution from the current administration’s attacks. “Let’s fight back for Nevada and all Americans,” he said. “Battle Born!”
Thank you, Chris, for that awesome bit of very important Nevada history.

What people want
They want this administration to keep their hands off EVERYTHING.

Local organizers in Carson City estimated that 7,000 were in attendance during the Carson City rally. This was the largest Carson City rally since the administration started with all its shenanigans. Lining both sides of Carson Street a half mile deep were many great signs. Enjoy. (Some of the photo captions are not showing up. Blame WordPress.)
